Audi officially announced that on June 2, 2017, at a special event in Ingolstadt, where Audi is headquartered, the new second-generation A5 Coupe will be presented.
Held in the Audi Forum building, the special event will be practically open to the public, where spectators will be able to entertain with a special choreographic light show prepared by the famous Hungarian group Maxin10sity.
With the help of a special show, viewers will also be able to see the planned unique demonstration presentation.
From what we know, the new 2017 Audi A5 Coupe will ride on the same platform as the A4 and Avant sedans, just like the outgoing model. This platform is the latest Audi MLB Evo platform, and thanks to advances in the design and construction of the new chassis, the next A5 is said to lose about 220 pounds compared to the first generation.
And because of the overall design of the A5 with A4, you can also rely on the same engine range, which means choosing several different four-cylinder turbo mills, while the 3.0-liter TFSI V6 still serves only in the S5 Coupe, delivering 354 liters .from. and 369 Nm of torque.
They also hinted at the RS5 to return to completion of the lineup later in the A5 life cycle, with 480 hp. and updated V8 with two electric turbochargers.
